Understanding the Mini Prophets

The prophetic literature of the Bible is usually divided up between what commentators call Major and Minor Prophets. The Major Prophets would be books like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel and the Minor Prophets books like Hosea, Joel and Zechariah. Of this latter body of prophetic literature we have short books like that of Obadiah, Haggai and Zephaniah that I call the Mini Prophets. It is a fact that Christians usually know nothing about these and if asked would confirm this. Rev. Malcolm Hedding has written this book to rectify this problem and also to encourage us all in our understanding of the whole counsel of God.
